Membership Rate Update

December 15, 2025

We value your membership and appreciate your continued support of the Fox Valley Family YMCA and our mission to strengthen community through youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. Your membership helps ensure the Y remains a place where people of all ages and backgrounds can connect, grow, and belong.

Your Y membership has always been about more than access to a building. It’s about relationships, shared experiences, and creating opportunities so everyone in our community has the support they need to thrive in mind, body, and spirit. To continue delivering on that commitment, the Board of Directors has approved a membership rate adjustment affecting select membership categories.

Why are membership rates increasing?

As a nonprofit organization, we work hard to balance affordability with the rising costs of operating and maintaining our facilities and programs. This adjustment supports our staff, sustains high-quality programming, and ensures our spaces remain safe, welcoming, and accessible for all.

Why are some membership categories changing?

Over time, our membership categories have expanded and evolved. Through a recent review, we identified opportunities to simplify our structure and better align categories with how members and families use the Y today. As a result, two membership categories have been combined:

  • High School memberships have been combined with Youth memberships, creating a clearer and more consistent youth category.
  • Senior Couple memberships have been transitioned into our Senior membership category.

These updates help reduce complexity, improve clarity, and ensure fairness across membership types while supporting the long-term sustainability of our programs, facilities, and services. Member access and benefits remain unchanged.

When does this change take effect?

The updated rate will take effect on January 15, 2026 and will be reflected in monthly drafts moving forward.

Do I need to do anything?

No action is required. Rates will automatically update on impacted membership accounts.

What if the new rate is a concern for my household?

Access for all is central to our mission. Financial assistance is available for those who need support, and we encourage you to reach out to discuss options.

What if I’d like to change or cancel my membership?

If you have questions or would like to explore your membership options, please contact Angie Sanders, VP of Member Experience, at [email protected], stop by the front desk, or call 630-552-4100.
