Safe, Active, Fun, Enrichment – SAFE

The SAFE. Before and After School Program for students in Newark, Plano, Sandwich, Somonauk and Yorkville school districts provides an inclusive atmosphere where children are nurtured and encouraged to have fun and cultivate friendships. In the S.A.F.E. program, we honor families by allocating time for students to complete homework. We offer assistance with homework when needed. Students may spend homework time reading or being read to. The kids in the SAFE program will have the choice to do arts and crafts, play large group games, have dance parties, play board games and much more to suit all kid’s interests. We offer a light breakfast in the morning and a snack in the afternoon.  We are a nut-free program.

Hours of Operation *subject to change

  • Monday through Friday on all school attendance days
  • Mornings begin at 6:30 am until the school bell
  • Afternoons begins from school bell to 6:00 pm

Membership
All students enrolled in SAFE can receive a free youth membership or take advantage of a monthly discount on a family membership. To activate your child’s free membership or discount on a family membership simply contact the front desk; central branch 630-552-4100 or west branch 815-786-9998.  The monthly discount applied to a family membership will be the equivalent of one youth membership.
